Where's Samantha Harris
in May Vogue Australia?
Well as promised she was on the cover of Vogue Australia!
However ... grrrr ... usually cover girls also feature in a full photo spread inside the magazine. To my horror Samantha got ONLY about two pages and the main photo feature model was some boring passive waif type from Russia or Eastern Europe who looked about 12 whatever her real age is.
The passive wistful waif look is NOT an improvement on "heroin chic"!
Come on Vogue Australia you can do better than this?!
Okay maybe Samantha couldnt do a full spread due to contractual obligations? Hopefully that was the reason? B U U U T ...
The first week of May is Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.
One rather hoped to see an edition of Vogue that might have been all Australian? Sigh perhaps next month in June when they report on RAFW?
People if you want to see lots of pictures of Samantha Harris and other Australian and overseas models I suggest you visit the RAFW Facebook site which has some wonderful photo albums!
Still I did get some benefit from this issue . I must make a confession here.
I havnt read the whole issue yet! I was so annoyed when I discovered Samantha didnt have a full photo spread inside I fired up my laptop and instead of blogging spent a hour creating something fresh summery and sky blue with no bland pastel tints!
Is anyone else fed up with the passive waif look?
