Twitter versus Facebook

Twitter
versus
Facebook?
or should the question be ...
Twitter or Facebook which is more useless or useful?
This year drawn by the alleged lure of social networking I joined Facebook and Twitter.
So far on Twitter I'm following 10 people but only 3 are following me back.
On Facebook I have about 20 - 30 "friends" if you also count businesses and group pages but some of these are people I already knew from a yahoo Group.
I still havnt figured out how to link my blogs to Twitter and Facebook so an automated alert goes out to anyone interested.
Does anyone know how you do that from Orble or do I link back form Twitter and Facebook?
I must say I'm not too impressed by Twitter.
Just on the login page the vast majority of "conversation" is extremely inconsequential spur of the moment at its worst.
On the other hand I've shared a few haiku as the lenght of a haiku fits neatly into a micro blog format.
Facebook can be fun when Facebook isnt being buggy and you can get to know who is "friending" and following you and why and i have actually picked up a few tips that have helped in my never ending (or so it seems) quest to turn some of my designs into prints on fabric.
Overall if I was handing out points Facebook despite the privacy issues would win over Twitter!
Mind you I didnt put my phone numbers or postal address on my Facebook Profile which probably helps!
I twit at #scholara if you wish to follow me.
There's several other Julie Vauxs on Facebook but I seem to be the only one who's Australian and has an albums that include abstract digital art.
You're welcome to visit!
