STAR TREK IS AWESOME!
If you have not seen the new 2009 remake / upgrade of Star Trek go and see it soon!
It's awesome and FUN! FUN! FUN!
Zachary Quinto makes Logic Sexy.
Chris Pine's Yet to be tested Hyper Young Kirk works surprisingly well.
Eric Bana's Vengeful Romulan (NOT a Warrior by the way) Mining Ship Captain is powerful and compelling so that we can feel a twinge of sympathy for this tragic figure.
Ignore those people who didnt like Karl Urban's version of Bones McCoy or Simon Pegg's "Scotty". Urban's McCoy had a delightful hestitancy as the character wavers between his duties and obligations as a doctor and his tendency to both "parent" and big brother the younger Kirk. Pegg's eccentric erratic genius is believable as a younger less stable Scotty who finds in Kirk's leadership the focus he needs. Given the sense of humor of the older Doohan version I can believe an younger Scotty doing things to the Admirals Beagle who willhopefully eventually show up!
The battle on the drill platform sequence is even better than the trailers suggested!
John Cho's Sulu and Yelchin's Chekov bring great energy to their roles .
Finally Zoe Saldana's Uhura is indeedly both sensual and intelligent and has a compelling elegance that makes an attraction to Spock and his response a delight especially when Spock decides to ignore tradition, Vulcan and Starfleet, and kiss Uhura at a time and place and with a passion that freaks Kirk outs!
Look just go and see it! Whether you're a Trekkie or Trekker or just wanna see some scifi action enjoy it soon!
