Yes Slings should be RED!
After 18 days wearing one I am firmly convinced they should be RED, absolutely fluoro neon bloody bright red, or have this printed on them!
"Yes this is a sling
Yes my arm still hurts
Yes you can offer to help!"
I'm losing count of the number of people who ignore the sling and have to be asked to hold doors or not bang into my arm or to move chairs like the idiot in the cafe whose partner can see my sling even if he cant and complains I should say Excuse Me when I knock into the back of his chair squeezing past to an empty chair.
I pointed at the sling and remarked
"This is my excuse me!"
Hello sling large oblong thing dangling from strap around my right arm.
It's there for a warning!
I wonder if the hospital fracture clinic would be very upset if it came back with red paint on it ... big bright letters ...
