If anyone reading is a business person who blogs can they explain the following to me?
For the past six weeks I have been trying to find an Asutralian business that will print out and market my surface designs. I have sensitive sinuses and no room at home for screens so I cant print myself and when I found out some printers could print off jpg files I thought it might be a solution to physically expressing my artwork in a saleable form.
So far when people actually answer query messages I've found various manufacturers who have switched to being wholesalers and people who may have websites but only print their own work and the vast majority of email has gone totally unanswered!
I'm not talking days or hours I'm talking weeks to hear back from people if they respond at all!
Isn't email meant to be faster than snail mail?
Apparently not in Australia?
Last week I contacted an interstate firm in Queensland those website proclaims they can use my jpg files to do short sample print runs.
I sent them an email asking about prices for sample runs thinking maybe if I had samples of the designs as small silk scarves I could hand deliver or post them them to buyers if the prices were reasonable.
I have not as yet had so much as even a thank you for your query we'll get back to you with info soon reply!
Before anyone says its school holidays in Australia ... this was happening before the school holidays!
Why can people have email addies and contact boxes on their websites if they don't want to answer their email ...at all?
Can anyone explain this mystery?
I am emailing from a Yahoo addie but I'm not getting bounce back so I'm presuming my email isnt being treated as spam or is it?
Please explain!!!
