Oh No Not Cullen Again!
Readers who live outside of Australia might want to visit the link imbedded in the next sentence first.
Its to the latest news coverage I could find. There was also coverage in yesterdays SMH.
Seen the picture? This piece of art is just plain undeniably ugly bad and stupid. So is most of Cullen's work. He and the proCullen "critics" justify his inability to draw or paint by claiming its postmodernist irony. No it's not! There are chimps and elephants who paint better than Cullen. However before I get another headache thinking about it ...
Over the Blue Mountains I can see clouds forming and rain maybe even a storm?
I'm having another "vision"
An alleged painter's studio in the Blue Mountains. An "artiste" is reading todays and yesterdays papers and giggling drunkenly. The phone rings. Just as it does thunder roars across the skies as if the heavens really were ripping open. The alleged artist picks up the phone thinking its his dealer or agent. The sound of a heavenly choir pours forth from the phone.
"ADAM this is Joshua. I'm not happy!"
"Duh josh who?"
"Joshua Yeshua Haysoos JaySee .... a.k.a. the Messiah a.k.a. the Christos ... Son of God, Prince of Peace ..."
"Yeah shooore ...."
A bolt of lightning strikes the studio roof and sizzles through the roof to the floor burning a cross shape into the floor.
"Ermmm so maybe ...."
"Adam Heavenly Beings are about to manifest and speak to you. I'm busy trying to stop World War Three."
"Er angels?"
"No Adam the Muses and their cousins the Furies."
"Oh cool we can have a pagan bacchanalian orgy and some bdsm! 12 babes on one guy!"
"Adam this is not a reward!"
Some time later. Most of the Muses are sitting around drinking Chian wine. In the middle of the studio a frantic artist is trying to draw a portrait of the Muse of Truth and History. Discarded scribbles cover the floor. A vengeful Fury is dangling a tinnie tied to the end of her whip near him.
"Try again. No booze until you get it right!"
The artist whimpers and here my vision ended as the storm reached my roof and broke my concentration.
Any resemblance between this and real life events is pure parodic coincidence!
