NOSTRATIC NGON
What is Ngon. Possibly a very old word for human being?
Nostratic or Eurasiatic or Northern Eurasian: these are three names used by specialists for a hypotheitcal protolanguage that predates IndoEuropean and other language groups. A linguist would write it : * ngwo/en meaning hypothetical radical in which the vowel alternates between o or e in later derivaitves.
Here's a group of words. Ren2 Jen2 Yan 4 Nhan ngu.o.i Jin Lang NIN NGIN NGING.
LIkewise the first and second person personal pronouns can be traced about to a prototype of * ngw plus Vowel . The orignal ngwo/e vowel or consonant sound changed to ng or n or w and then to n or y.
Why is this connected to IE? The first person ending of many verbs traces back to *-yo and note EGO?
Then we have the word for women.
Bana Beann Ban Gino Queen Venus Beautiful One feminine Gna Nui Nu Jo Ba Nyo Nhu Ngiu Onna and Greek GUNEE seem to derive from * (n)gw o/en
See the pattern?
Perhaps once upon a time thousands of years ago the word for man woman and I was the same, a distinctive nasal sound * NGWO .
Who knows? Maybe before the word changed our ability to make this nasal noise distinguished us from other primates? Or not?
A simple word like I or Woman has echoes from Deep Time!
