Bigotry is based on ignorance.
Two sadly outstanding examples of this are the American Birthers who believe Obama is a secret Muslim and the people who go on and on and on ad tedium claiming a Mosque is building built on top off or right next to "Ground Zero".
If wearing the costume of your father's ethnic group ONCE while visiting family is Kenya "proves" Obama is a Muslim then that makes wearing harem pants Islamic!
There are probably dozens if not hundreds of American and Australian citizens who spent part of their childhood in Indonesia for various reasons, such as parents being born or working there. That makes them Muslim? Nooo .....!?
As for the Ground Zero thing.
I personally consider that the only structure that should be "built" is an open plaza witha simple wall monument at one side listing all the dead including the Muslim workers who died.
It probably would have been a better idea to build that Community Center much further away from the Twin Towers site but really if you ban community centers for minorities next thing you'll have religious loonies wanting to ban Kivas, Synagouges, and what else I dread to think.
If you really want to fight terrorism know your enemy.
Ranting on or off line about evil muslims and secret conspiracies doesnt help.
Dont waste time being Misislamic!
Wanna fight terrorism? Support simple things like projects that build girls' schools and women's clinics in Afghanistan.
And support your local schools public or private too and make sure they're teaching tolerance and science!
