DOES "LSH" Mean anything to you?
Or the name George Perez?
The Legion of Super Heroes has a DC Crisis tie-in Series!
You can beleive the positive reviews so far!
I've read the first issue and it is HOT! Artwork and scripting combine to provide quick glimpses of essential backstory and set up for a grand thirty first century adventure.
When you were a kid and read LSH stories did you ever wonder what an adult Legion would be like!
Brainiaic 5 is still grumpy eccentric and brilliant. The big three Cosmic Boy Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl are having to deal with xenophobia and United Plantes politics and being stuck with the names the media gave them in their early teens. If trying to re-unite the scattered LSH membership wasnt enuff of problem the ever spiteful Time Trapper has added to their woes by sending Superboy Prime to their century which leads to a delightful sequence with a well meaning AI with limited programming who's modelled on Jimmy Olsen guiding an increasingly irate superbrat around a Superman Museum in Smallville about which it's no spoiler to say certainly isnt in one piece by the end of the book.
Nostalgia Perez art A great script Good covers. Great characters famous and infamous.
Promises to be one of the best Crisis tie-ins! Lets pray they can keep up the quality.
Know George Perez manages all that detail I dont know. I hope he doesnt burn out after the series is over.
Nudge Wink Anyone seen Phil Jimenez lately?
If this book appeals to a cynical old fan girl like me who loathes the cliches in most superhero comics then younger fan boys and girls and indeed fans of all ages of a less cynical bent will love it! Enjoy!
