LOVE GINGER!?
I Do!
It's great for cooking and a variety of health problems!
Linguists think the original word that became ginger in English was a Sanskrit term.
The oldest form of Ginger in Chinese was probably * ki a/o ng judging from the later forms.
Ginger in modern Chinese is jiang (tone one). In Hokkien its kiun and in Japanese its Kyoo or Koo or hajikami whereas the Koreans call it Kang and the Vietnamese gung.
Here's the modern "traditional" form . There's also a simplifed form.
Finally for those of you who have tried doing Chinese cursive forms here's the cursive form!
Enjoy!
