CHARACENE SPASINOU or Charax.
Alexandria on the Tigris was once a major port before Basra and sited on a coastal lagoon that is now a hundred miles or more inland. Mentioned in several chronicles and history books Charax was a minor power and a trading port for more than half a millenium!
About all that remains are discoveries of coins and a mound that's never been properly excavated due to political unrest as it's now in a border region on the edge of Iran and Iraq.
