Kaze no Tayori News on the Wind
Kaze no Tayori is a Japanese proverb I found in a book I'm reviewing in my you should read blog. Why is it the title of this blog. What news has the wind brought me today?
How small human things are against the elemental force of the wind.
I had an empty bucket out on the balcony waiting for rain to refill it so I could use the water to clean the balcony or water plants. Today we have had very strong almost gale force westerlies and I looked out the window hearing a rattling sound to see the wind literally form an eddy around the bucket and lift it up and over the railing to blow away somewhere.
If anyone's found a green bucket somewhere in Waitara my apologies if it hit anything and please blame the weather.
More news from the wind ... some decided to do a controlled burn off in Galston Gorge and along one of the cree valleys that fed into it ... and they didnt bother warning local residents.
News from the wind. Dont bothering putting the washing out today!
The smoke is finally dwindling now hours later!
At least around Hornsby but I wonder if smoke is rising from the streets of Rangoon!
Lets hope we dont have to rely on "news on the wind" for messages about whats going on in Burma!
