IWD
IWD stands for International Women's Day
Whatever your feelings about women's rights or feminism don't forget there are still parts of this world where women still do not have full human rights.
Female circumcision is still being inflicted on under age girls who have no power to say yes or no and no knowledge of alternatives or consequences.
There are still places in China where girls and women can be kindnapped on their way to school or work and forced into sex slavery or marriage.
There are girls in Afghanistan and other parts of the world who want to go to school or go on to higher education (high school college) and can't because some local or family elder doesnt think girls need to read or write or thinks some spoiled male brat regardless of whether he has the ability should get priority for education.
IWD - maybe if you see some one doing or saying something very sexist and anti woman speak out about it instead of being silent!?
