Okay iPAD sounds cool BUUUT ...
none of the reviews I have read so far cover these points?
1) What software comes pre installed?
2) Will it run open source or Skype?
3) and what about graphics programs?
If there's one thing that bugs me about reviews of new hardware its the way so many reviewers write aobut graphics capacities in realtion to running games and videos BUUUT never or rarely actual graphics programs?
One reviewer did mention you can draw on the touchscreen but in which app or program?
Can I use a USB or the Net to download and install say the GIMP or Artrage or Inkscape or Adobe and macromedia products?
I was thinking of getting Ubisurfer and running a portable version of Opne Office and Skype off it but now I'm tempted to wait for iPAD especially if I can use it for graphics.
Hardware reveiwers take note. Please Pretty please tell those of us who want to MAKE graphics how the upgrade helps?
I would like to see a review of how say iPAD compares to Wacom or other Tablet PCs?
As iPAD will apparently have better battery life than Ubisurfer it would be great if I could use it for presentations?
Two final thoughts:
Are any other Australian readers dreading how much the price will go up when it reaches Australia. Wannabe bet we'll have to pay more?
Some clever designers should start work on funky iPAD bags for carrying them to protect the screen if the iPADs dont come with a cover?
iPADs ... has anyone tested graphics prgorams on them?
