How to stop Abortions
or at least reduce the number of them!
or at least reduce the number of them!
Three Words: Compulsory Sex Education.
Recently the daughter of a pro abstinence politician was revealed to be pregnant.
Sarah Palin doesnt support sex education apparently being one of those people who think all or most teens will promptly go out right after class and have more sex. Like they're not anyway? I mean having sex with or without the benefits of knowing how to avoid pregnancy and other problems.
If her daughter and her boyfriend had education on HOW to avoid pregnancy and use birth control properly would she be pregnant now?
"Sex" education isnt and shouldnt be just how to do sex but focus on how to avoid pregnancy along with other issues. Good sex education would benefit the prolife movement since it could lead to less unwanted pregnancies and abortions but do they support it? No!
They seem to think the best answer is preaching abstinence?
The problem with this arguement is that it presumes the majority of people are sensible well disclipined self controlled responsible adults.
NEWS FLASH! A lot of humans are not!
Sometimes teenagers and adults are forced or seduced into situations when they cant say NO! Sex education could include how to avoid such situations and what to do if you're stuck in one.
We're not all saints and there are plenty of pregnant teens who do not have upper middle class wealthy parents to support them!
Abstinence along with ignorance does not work.
Knowledge of ALL your options and awareness DOES!
