Hallelulah! Hillsong!
[is still helping misguided young ladies!Yes siree Ladies and Gentlemen the Australian Church Hillsong despite the Mercy Ministry debacle earlier this year is still intent on ignoring all those evil misguided feminist liberals and helping young girls who want to opt out of scripture class to become proper upper middle class Christian Ladies.
Not content with having "counsellors" with only about six months training and limited life experience of addiction or abuse using bible based therapy to heal wounded spirits Hillsong have also been running "personal development" SHINE classes using make up and hair spray to raise self esteem.
Clearly any girl who doesnt want to do scripture classes has self esteem issues and of course hair spray is an ideal cure!
Never mind that these classes are generally held in upper middle class suburbs where the girls probably already know how to use make up etc. Hey they're clearly trying to support other scripture teachers by getting all the potential trouble makers out of the other classes ... you know those girls who get bored cos they're airheads or who even worse shock horror may be one of those rare teenagers who ask intelligent questions!
Hillsong likes to offer practical help. Why did you know according to their website Conference Operations is a major subject in their training colleges. It gets more hours than Bible Study or Theology though maybe I misread the course guide? Surely that's a mistake?
Thanks to Hillsong on Judgement Day Christian Ladies will be lining up neatly coiffed ready for the Rapture ! Hallelulah!
