Headmistress Gaia is
NOT apologizing for the recent and ongoing flooding in Australia House.
She did however ask me to forward this heavily edited message and was last seen heading for the garden with a pump and a siphon muttering something about refilling aquifiers.
" Oy you fickle nasty whining bunch of ingrates. First you complain about water restrictions and now you're complaining about the overflow. Some of you are referring to me as a B ***H Well F***W*** you were not warned NOT to do DIY plumbing alterations! You put canals in the wrong place! You cut down native trees on river banks and planted EFFING willows and ploughed up wetlands instead of turning them into lakelands or diverting the water slowly and gently into storage. You blocked up the gnammas created by previous students. You built extensions to Australia House in areas you knew were flood prone and you have the gall to blame me! You %$^$%&%^&^$#.
On the positive side many students showed great courage and even better common sense in a time of adversity and I'm pleased there was an overflow of volunteers for the clean up. However I notice the grand schemes for more mega dams are coming out of closets again from the usual suspects.
READ MY LIPS LOSERS! NO MORE MEGA DAMS!
Unless you're planning to use those open cut mining pits that got flooded (hehehe you were warned!) ( a long rant about students ruining the landscaping has been deleted)
Full marks to those science students who realised a positive side to flooding is silt replacing eroded soil and underground aquifiers refilling.
#$%$^%&*%$$$#^
I'm afraid the rest had to be deleted. She's really not in a very good mood!
Oh yeah she was muttering something about hoping the snakes took refuge in the houses of developers and councillors who approved building on flood plains. Oopsie!
