Innovations that are Classics!
Here's my list of the Style and Fashion Innovations in regard to Clothing that I consider TRUE Classics. Some of them are innovations in technology rather than design.
1) The Blue Denim Jean.
Despite some people trying to mutate it into that abomination the low riding skinny jeans its an abiding and usable favorite!
2) Black Lycra Tights.
You can wear them with so many things! They dont run and tear as much as translucent nylon stockings!
3) Cotton / Synthetic blend Stretch Knits.
Where would fashion and style be without the development of knitting machines?
4) Elastic
Without Elastic many of us would still be wearing corsets whether we wanted to or not!
5) Pants shorts and trousers cut for women.
If you have either worn a badly cut skirt and looked down to see a stocking run add to your woes then you know why women took so eagerly to wearing pants this century!
