Who's A Fashion Expert?
Anonymous whoever he she it or they may be has once again criticized my blog series on the Garcia List on the gorunds that I'm not a "fashion expert".
Strange I didnt know you have to be an expert to blog on fashion or indeed any other topic?
I have never claimed or want to be a fashion expert.
I may perhaps be a fashion critic and as blogging is supposedly a democratic open medium will continue to blog on fashion whenever I feel the need to do so!
So who's a Fashion Expert? Probably not most of those people who think they are!
Judging from the articles I see and read many fashion "experts" and bloggers and journalists are really copywriters tying their articles to ads. Anyone else notice this?
Alright yes so let's be totally honest about this! We need to do this in the hope Google Adsense will come up with relevant advertising that people might actually click on!
I for one liv einthe (vain) hope one day I will earn enuff from blogging to pay my monthly broadband fees at least or maybe even some more of my bills?

Fashion as a noun: Prevailing custom, esp. in dress, convnetional usages of upperclass society ... mmm now there's a clue or hint?
I see far too many fashionista and writers who rarely review ready to wear and only care about big name designers. Who do they think they are writing for?
Rich teenagers who are thin and pretty and have far big an allowance and their wannabe clones?
Tough luck for the rest of us who would rather learn where they can find and buy affordable clothing that fits more than one body shape?
That would be the vast majority of the market for clothes?
Of course if fashion writers only care about spoilt brats with minimal taste and maxed out credit cards that might also explain why fashion blogs rarely if ever feature articles warning buyers which designers use under paid outworkers?
Heavens forbid that baby or adult fashionistas should be encouraged to have any REAL awareness of who makes their clothes and toys?
The Oxford on Expert:
Person having special skill or knowledge a noun derived from Experience which ultimately derives from a Latin verb meaning try or test.
Oh I may be qualified? I have had many trying and testing experiences experimenting to see which fashions and styles actually suit me?!
Looking at that definition again is an expert the person who makes something or tests something or the person who does both?
Now I do have some design experience and special knowledge though not with clothes - check out my art blogs - see my designs and PLEASE Please please consider going to Red Buuble and buying a print so I have some money for the New year sales cos I need NEW shoes! So do I qualify as an interested outsider?
So who's a fashion expert?
Who would you regard as one? Why?
