There are many theories about how the climate will respond to global warning and one of the major ones is that sea levels will rise however there seems to be no major consensus theory on how far the seas will rise if they do. Another theory suggest global warning might cause a temporary rise of sea levels followed by a swing back to glacial hyperaridity.
Here's an old topographic map of Australia. The lightest shade of brown / cream is land below 200 meters which would be about 600 feet?
You can find maps like this in books on Australia Geomorphology. They'll be in the geology section of your library if they have them and probably be called something like Australian Landforms in the catalouge whatever the actual title is.
This map is the same one but with most of the land below 200 meters removed. I have enlarged several lakes also. Yes the sea levels even if the whole of both ice caps melt probably may only be about 100 meters but who knows? I've opted for the extreme image.
Does anyone have a link to a map showing sea levels rises at lower levels?
