Should dachshunds be models?

Should dachshunds
be models?

Yes people I was watching that Alex Perry interview on ch 7.
The one in which he said there's going to be no size 16 models on his runaways.

Now this interview was played alongside a interview with 3 catwalk models who have switched to doing "Plus size" cos they got fed up with starving themselves trying to look like skinny children.

So here's my solution to creating an ethical supply of naturally slender catwalk models!

DACHSHUNDS! Yes Dachshunds!

When fit they're naturally slender and elegant. They love posing and they can work and live on less than 1000 calories a day!

And they don't have breasts! Ideal considering all those designers who apparently think the ideal model would be constructed of plastic tubes and that a breast is a nipple on top of an pectoral muscle?

DACHSHUNDS!

I certainly would rather see Peter Alexander or Leona Edmiston's dachshunds on a catwalk than some of those girls who clearly should be in rehab clinics for eating disorders?!

But what about fat dachshunds? Surely you can't discriminate by using "fit" ones only. Fat dachshunds are just as valuable within our society as show quality dachshunds are! It's not their fault that their owners feed them too much and can't be bothered to exercise them.

.... and on, and on, and on it goes....

Ah but nudge wink models aren't suppose to be cuddly? They're apparently suppose to be the human equivalent of say a red setter or afghan!

Dachshunds may be too intelligent to be models. Most of the plump ones end up that way cos they have trained their humans to over feed them!

Some day we'll see a variety of body shapes on catwalks but sadly not any day soon.

Still a dachwalk procession of dachsies with fabrics and sarongs and garments draped over ther long backs could be rather cute?

I've known intelligent models, and I've known models who are as thick as bricks. To say that they're all stupid is to rely on an unfair stereotype, because the simple fact is that beauty and brains are not mutually exclusive.

A dachshund fashion show would be pretty cute, no doubt.....

But I'm more of a cat person, myself.
