Bronze Age
A Surface Design by J. Vaux

This is a sample of one of my surface designs.

I'ld like your feedback on whether this would work best as a fashion or furnishing fabric or print of (wall) paper or whatever.

This image is part of a sampler available as a pdf to design professionals and studios.

Contact me if you're interested?

While tending to a relative having radiation "therapy" I spent my "free" (as in UNPAID) time working at home and have a full folder on the hard drive plus another folder of hand painted and drawn images ready for sale.

If anyone here reading has links to designers and manufacturers please pass on this blog to them and let them know about the pdf.

I'm going to lose about three months paid work this year so I really really really need to make some sales. Can you help me with networking?

Thanks in advance if you chose to help?

I can see it as a design wrapped around ( blended into) the surface of an ancient type jug, as a sculpture ( work of art) for sale at a great price, but.....?

A wall hanging as an art work for large homes or businesses or lastly as you suggest as a fabric design, but I think you may well have to do some 'cold calling' to achieve any level of success and there are no gurantees even then, I think people just consider computer art as (a) the computer did it or (b) it can be turned into so many multiple copies as to be considered worthless.

That's not my view, of course, do let me know how you fare in the course of time

thanks for the feedback Katyzz

no successes yet and some people dont even bother answering query emails which doesnt help

about the copying aspect

There are still people who regard printmaking as a fewer art form cos prints are "copies" but the printing press whether used for pictures or books was one of the most revolutionary devices developed.

Wewouldnt have Hiroshige or Hokusai's prints if not for printing and Rembrandts prints show us he could draw as well as paint.

Several Art Deco and Cubism illustrators and painters also created fabric designs like Sonia Delaunay!

I would like to see my designs in and on a variety of media so I can share the beauty!
