Blue HAN ZI
Some Chinese color adjectives
yes there are more than two !
Hope these arent going to be too small to read!
The top two are the two best known adjectives for blue qing and lam.
Qing is a radical and Lan is the dark indigo of a plant derived dye.
The two on the next line are the lesser known variants of CANG.
Given the context in which these two appear they seem to be used to indicated the blue green of plants and water.
In the third line we have Piao a word used to describe a misty transperent blue and a type of silk gauze.
Next to it ... @##$%% a typo oops
next line we have qi the blue gray color of some animal fur and the name of a type of horse and on the right another word for dark blue now more commonly used in Japanese GAN or Kan
Finally we have the modern sign for cobalt the chemical element so useful for blue pigment in synthetic dyes paint and ceramic glazes.
Last bottom right is Cong ZONG the mineral color of a jade like stone.
