BBC'S LATEST VERSION OF HOLMES
is a splendid production though I am very annoyed about the cliff hanger ending to the first 3 episode / telemovies!
A Swimming pool instead of a waterfall?
I was worried Gatiss and Moffat might try to be TOO clever but they clearly read and respected the original stories and the use of a modern setting and technology works quite well. Moriarty as a consulting criminal also a master of disguise and the references to a famous case involving missing plans plus the possible red herring of a link to Bohemia suggesting Irene Adler were skilful plot devices.
May one hope Irene Adler will appear in the next series?
Will Holmes ever date that lab tech who has a crush on him?
Does Holmes swing both ways?
Mycroft as a thin cranky civil "servant" on a diet is an interesting variation on the character of Holmes' brother.
If you missed it definitely borrow rent or buy the DVD!
