Asian Fashion Capitals of the Future
Which Asian City will be the fashion capital of the future.
Many trendsetters fashionistas style experts and others probably regard Tokyo as the current fashion capital but if you'll forgive the cliche change is on the wind!
Which city do I think will become the Milan or Paris or New York of the future?
Bangkok? Hong Kong? Beijing?
While each of these has fashion scenes and districts my bets are on ....
SHANGHAI
Why Shanghai? It's a young vigorous growing city with a tradition of being open to outside influences but connections with provincial and regional china. It's a port city on a major river with industrial areas. It's near a traditional culture centre Hangzhou. It's a centre for the avantgarde in several arts!
So which Asian city will be the fashion capital of the future?
Will Tokyo lose out to Shanghai?
