Sydneysiders Are You Ready for the RED MOON ?
Total Lunar Eclipse August 28 2007 TONIGHT!
Total Lunar Eclipse August 28 2007 TONIGHT!
Okay I know several other Orblers have posted on this topic and the media have mentioned it but I thought a reminder cant hurt?
We lucky Sydneysiders get to see the lunar eclipse at moonrise which means unlike the Americans we dont have to get up in the pre-dawn hours to view it!
I have my digital camera ready for the moon to lift above the eastern horizon!
If I get any good shots I'll post them here so bookmark this blog!
Please consider sharing your lunar eclipse experience with us?
If you'll forgive me quoting directly from the SMH ...
"The full moon will enter the Earth's shadow at 6.51 pm, just 77 minutes after sunset."
Its 5: 15 pm at time of typing and the sky promises to be clear and the evening warm so if you have a view of the eastern sky be ready for this event.
I wonder how red the moon will get?
