Well what a change from last year's fiasco!
Last year's delayed annual annoyed a lot of fans waiting to find out what happened to Chris Kent and the Phantom Zone escapees.
This annual ties in to current plot lines for the various Superman comics. You can follow the stories in those books without having read this but it complements them beautifully filling in and fleshing out the back stories of several characters.
Find out the origins and legend of Flamebird and Nightwing and how Thara freed Chris from the Phantom Zone. Gain insights into Kryptonian religion. Learn of an act of compassion by Non.
It's space opera Its sci fi It's a superhero comic Its good story telling and great art!
If you were thinking about buying it and hesitating ... yes it is worth reading and lives up to the other positive reviews I have seen so far. Enjoy!
P.S. MY apologies to my few and faithful subscribers for not blogging since the beginning of the week. It's the end of the semester and I have to finish an essay on Oribe ceramics and subject painted designs for next semester and design and cut templates for slab vessels and refine and change current designs and motifs that are sooo not working with a certain clay on top of queueing at the bank and other places to pay end of the financial year bills.
