Please NO more Skinny Blondes
Yes I'm talking about Fashion Shoots.
You know the ones that feature six foot tall 12 year blondes?
When oh when will designers realize not all of us have blonde ambitions?
I have not now or ever dreamt of being a tall skinny blonde! With no boobs!
Seriously do they really believe only tall skinny blond teenagers or people who dream of makeovers that will make them look like that buy their clothes?
AAARGH more psychotic or near catatonic dazed by malnutrition passive pseudo elves with no personalities appearing in CERTAIN magazines!
Please gently feed the models before sending them back to school where they should be!
Seriously Australian designers stylists model agencies and fashion photographers please start using more models showing a bit more personality than a Nestene Drone or a shoggoth and with actual breasts.
Repeat after me until the designers start listening most of us only look at certain magazines featuring "haut couture" to get some idea of what the ready to wear trends will be ... would it really hurt the industry to use models who are a better mixture of ethnicities height sizes and ages!
I want to see a photo shoot that features tall Amazonian Islanders, petite Viet girls, ex ballerinas turned actresses in their 30s or 40s, Jackie Weaver or Deborah Mailman, Chinese or Eurasian girls who dont look like Taoist fairies, or Wendy Harmer, or the Muslima checkout chick at the local Kmart who always drapes her headscarf with simple modest elegance, or maybe some steampunk Goth boys and girls!
Anything but more blonde skinny pseudo elves!
